Aurum Leadership Business Development and Communications Role

We are a young and growing consulting, training, and coaching business, based in the Bay Area and expanding into Europe this year. Our focus is on transformational work in the leadership and organizational space. We are passionate about the work we do, bringing heart, emotional intelligence and deep personal and professional development work leadership and the workplace. Organizations are our venue, but the work we do combines the highly practical with relationship skills, self awareness and wholeness. We are a creative and dynamic team, looking for the right person to join us and help us grow as we expand our team and our business in the coming year.
In this role you will support creating and implementing a coherent marketing strategy for an up-and-coming training and development company in the Bay Area. You’ll have the opportunity to design the next iteration of brand presence and build a network of relationships with potential clients and partners both locally and globally.
You will lead the outward facing aspect of the business, sharing Aurum’s unique relational models with the world. As Aurum has grown, our small and dynamic team has become increasingly busy providing outstanding coaching and training services to our clients. We need someone to hold and cultivate the externally oriented, opportunity-seeking sales & marketing aspects of the business. You will head up projects in these key areas:
Design and implement a long-term B2B marketing strategy in collaboration with Aurum’s two co-founders.
Generate leads and new business opportunities for the company.
Expand Aurum’s brand presence and voice in professional coaching and training circles, as well as among potential clients.
Support program design and communications as needed.
Create and plan a coherent, strategic marketing plan, which is effective in the midst of the currently unstable market reality.
Lead business development efforts with new and existing customers.
Generate new leads & opportunities for both Leadership Coaching and long term training programs.
Own and manage Aurum’s brand presence, especially on LinkedIn and other professional platforms.
Manage PR efforts and find ways to disseminate Aurum materials effectively.
Support product development within Aurum, especially with writing program materials and communication related to our programs and materials.
Help source and manage relevant subcontractors/services that support marketing/sales/PR efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
Top notch written and verbal skills
Tech savvy, willing to learn and teach new platforms
Fluent in social media
Skilled in basic tech and online tools such as GSuite, Dropbox, Microsoft, etc
Interest and experience in personal and professional development
Able to work remotely and in person locally in San Rafael
Sense of humor
Experience with LinkedIn as Business Development tool
Educational background in communications, business, marketing or related field
Experience in the field of Coaching/Organizational Development
Familiarity with Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop)
Fluent in other languages is a plus (ideal: Spanish and/or Dutch)

You’ll be communicating both verbally and in writing, and will be creating and editing written content for a variety of purposes.
