What's the competitive advantage that makes the greatest difference? Hint: They probably didn't teach it at business school
We work with organizations who have plenty of business know-how, the right education, super smart people...and yet the business is not thriving. Whether the problem is lack of innovation, slow growth, politics, high turnover, or failed change initiatives, real change can’t happen until you learn the things you didn’t learn in business school. It’s all about the people.
Most people don’t want to hear that. Which is why we don’t work with “most people.” We work with organizations and clients who are ready for change.
With Aurum you’re not going to get business jargon, you’re not going to get a cookie cutter approach. We come in, have real conversations with your leaders and workforce, and uncover what’s really in the way of growth, collaboration and becoming a thriving, high performance company. We give you the straight truth of what’s going on at the human level in your company. Because if change hasn’t taken hold, we guarantee that’s where the issues are. And if you take care of the people and their real concerns, your business will thrive.
It’s not for the faint of heart. But it IS for those who are ready to evolve and become the business you know you can be.
A lot of organizations we work with have tried to make change. They’ve hired fancy consultants, improved processes, made structural “improvements.” Very often they are not asking the right questions or looking in the right places, for the real issues.
We’ll help you see the way forward. We’ll be with you every step of the way as you and your organization embrace difficult truths, resolve conflicts and create a vibrant future. We help companies and human beings see and do what is needed to embrace the positive organizational change that will support growth, retention and innovation.
We bring a background in systems thinking, human development, leadership and decades of catalyzing and supporting change in human beings and organizations.
Culture and Leadership Assessment
The first step in making change is to understand what is really going on - why change has not taken hold, why turnover is high, why growth is not what it could be. Aurum can assess your leadership skills and impact, team functioning, organizational culture, emotional intelligence and general organizational health. We’ll create in depth report that gives it to you straight - where the problems are, what you can do about it and a plan for real change.
This initial stage is an essential process to assess the leadership and culture at your organization - what is working and what is not working in terms of leadership, relationships and collaboration and the resultant impact. Our comprehensive assessment process generally includes in-person interviews with key staff, company-wide surveys, as well as on-site observation and interactions.
As we gather information and hear different perspectives we listen for themes and recurring issues across the organization. Topics included in our assessment:
Leadership alignment and general organizational health
Dynamics between company leadership and company staff members
Emotional Intelligence and ability to create strong collaborative relationships between team members and with other partners/clients
Any interpersonal or structural issues that inhibit growth and thriving relationships
Levels of collaborative skills and team functioning
Levels of trust among peers, on teams and toward leadership
Report and Recommendations
Aurum will produce a report that summarizes our findings, including positive themes and improvement themes for various areas of the organization assessed.
Based on these themes, we will make recommendations for improvements and collaboratively design a long-term program for addressing the challenges. Our report will include recommendations for educational programs, team development, coaching for specific individuals and any issues to be addressed between individual members or among circles.
Our recommendations are in service to improving organizational health, which is essential for the organization to succeed and achieve its goals.
